SHAPING GLOBAL IMPACT:
WHAT AFRICA CAN LEARN FROM G20’s OF THE PAST
7 OCTOBER 2025 | 08H30 TO 13H30 SAST
INTRODUCING THE B20 POLICY IMPACT SPECIAL REPORT
The Sanlam ESG Barometer remains current with the evolving impact research landscape by featuring a Special Edition focused on the B20 Policy Impact Report aligned with South Africa’s G20 Presidency. While the Sanlam ESG Barometer has historically tracked ESG progress among JSE- and Kenyan-listed companies, this year’s edition focuses on evaluating the real-world impact of B20 policy recommendations over the past three cycles (2022–2024), specifically analysing how these proposals transition from recommendations to G20 adoption and, ultimately, to concrete government actions or programmes.
By mapping this impact pathway, the report illustrates the critical role B20 recommendations play in global policy development and evolution. The 2025 Sanlam ESG Barometer research approach reinforces our commitment to being an impact-driven industry thought leader and strengthens the Sanlam ESG Barometer’s value as a platform for advancing African priorities within global policy and sustainable development.
